Long Island, NY

I had to travel to Long Island this week for the "real job". I am not sure if you say: I am On Long Island, or In Long Island ? I hear that Long Island has some beautiful spaces, but I only see the Industrial Parks, Business Parks, etc.... Traffic was not too terrible this trip: 3 1/2 hours up on Tuesday, and 3 1/2 hours back on Thursday.
