Evelyn treated Demarie, Harrison, and I to the show at Harry Truman last night. The MTI (Music Theatre International) choose Truman as the Pilot School for the first production of RENT (School Edition). The kids did a great job, and you could tell they loved putting on the show. The High School edition has some humor to it, where the movie does not. There is also less spoken word, and unless you already know the storyline, this lack of dialog makes the story a little difficult to follow. Last night was the closing night for the show. I know the producers from Manhatten were at the show last weekend, but I have not yet heard what thier opinion of the show was. We enjoyed it. I especially liked the performance piece by "Joanne".
