Very Trendy. Chatted with a surgeon that specializes in Gastro bypass. We told him; nice to meet you, hope we never need you!Dinner at Farinheit at the Ritz in Georgetown.
Our waiter was like a comedian from a Las Vegas review. Weirdly entertaining. Excellent Food.
Wednesday (23rd) - Dannielle attended her DMA conference and I slept late, walked
around town, and visited the National Gallery. Cold but Sunny! Stopped for pretzels and wine in the late afternoon at The Elephant & Castle Bar. Best Hot Pretzels and Spicy Mustard! (My Uncle Uble got me started on those!)
Wednesday Night - Dinner at The Capitol Grill - ALWAYS WONDERFUL! Met boring man at bar that would not go away. They were late seating us, so free appetizer! Ok by us
Thursday (24th) - Dannielle attended conference. I slept late, walked around town, and visited the Library of Congress. One of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Spent a lot of time here.
Thursday Night - Cocktails at the Willard. Georgeous hotel next to the JW. Dinner at the Old Ebbit Grill. Very historical and popular. Seating is very close. Had a Filet Mignon Open Face sandwich - so good. Met a couple at the bar (seated near us). She was crazy drunk (and only 26) and wanted to hug me, he told Dannielle that this was a first date gone horribly wrong, and he was putting her in a cab as soon as possible. She would not go away, so we left to have dessert elsewhere. Found Butterfield 9 and had after dinner drinks and excellent dessert. Told bartender about the drunk girl, so he poured us a round on the house. Might go there for dinner next time in DC.
